The AudTrain II project developed and launched advocacy material. It establishes key lines of argument for a child rights based approach to auditing and monitoring out of home care for children and outlines relevant international standard setting documents and approaches. Along with highlighting the importance of hearing the child, it also briefly introduces the AudTrain method. The material targets decision makers and also professionals working in the field of alternative care.

Please see the AudTrain Procedure and Glossary for an overview of the AudTrain method and a glossary of key terms. The AudTrain Procedure document describes how a system based audit with verification (if relevant) of a child welfare facility should be planned, performed and reported. It can be used as a practical guide for audit personnel within this field. The procedure is an integral part of the basic course on the AudTrain Model for monitoring child welfare facilities.
