The last expert meeting in Stockholm was an inter-active working meeting of officials and specialists from the Baltic Sea Region and beyond. It engaged the participants in a critical review of the draft guidance “Ensuring non-violent childhoods: Guidance on implementing the prohibition of corporal punishment in domestic settings.” The Guidance includes discussions of the legal considerations and the best interests principle.
The participants were also be asked to consult on the follow-up to the Non-Violent Childhoods project and to provide input to the project’s campaign. The guidance and the campaign have a wider European and global relevance.
